Allah Ta'ala Quran kareem may irshad farmata hai:
Tum may say Allah kay yahan sab say zyadah m'uazzaz woh hai jo sab say zyadah muttaqi aur parhezghar hai. (Al-Hujrat: 13)Taqwe ka mafhoom aur matlab ye hai ki insaan Allah Ta'ala kay 'azaab say bachney ki koshish karey, Allah Ta'ala kay tamam hukmo ko baja laaye aur uss ki mana kardah cheezeon say baaz (door) rahey. Yani insaan har waqt Allah ka khauf aur dar (fear) apne dil may rakhey aur har kaam say pehley Quran aur Hadees ko madde nazar rakhey. Taqwaa say insaan kay dil aur dimagh may aisi nooraniyat paida hoti hai jis say woh haq aur batil ko pehchan sakta hai. Zulmat aur tareeki kay andherey door ho jatey hain aur insaan Allah Ta'ala ka sab say zyadah mahboob aur muqarrab bandah ban jata hai.
Quran Majeed may kayi jagah Allah Ta'ala nay taqwaa ikhtiyar karney ki raghbat dilayi hai. Surah Al-Imran may Allah Ta'ala farmata hai:
Aye Emaan walon! Allah Ta'ala say (aise) daro (jaisa) uss say darney ka haq hai aur tum ko maut (death) iss halat may aaye ki tum musalman ho. (Al-Imran: 102)
Iss aayat ki tafseer may Abdullah ibn Masood (Radhi Allahu Anhu) nay farmaya:
Taqwaa ka haq ye hai ki Allah ki ita'at (farmabardari) har kaam may kee jaye, uss ki nafarmani na kee jaye, insaan hamesha uss ko yaad rakhey aur kabhi na bhooley aur hamesha uss ka shukr adaa karta rahey na-shukri na karey.

Doosri jagah Allah Ta'ala irshad farmata hai:
Pas jitni tum may taaqat hai utna Allah say daro. (Al-Taghabun: 16)
Insaan ki nijaat ka daromdaar taqwaa par hai aur iss say insaan ka rizq bhee badhta hai jaisa ki Allah Ta'ala irshad farmata hai:
Aur jo Allah say darta hai Allah uss kay liye aasaniya paida kar deta hai aur aisi jagah say rizq deta hai jahan say uss ko weham aur gumaan bhee nahi hota. (Al-Talaq: 2-3)
Taqwaa ikhtiyat karney say insaan kay andar baseerat, haq aur batil (kay beech farq) ki pehchaan bhee paida hoti hai aur insaan kay sab gunah bhee maaf ho jatey hain. Allah Ta'ala irshad farmata hai:
Agar tum Allah say darogey to woh tumhe (haq aur batil kay darmiyan) farq karne wali (baseerat) 'ataa farmayega aur tum say tumhari buraiyan (gunah, khataye) door kar dega aur tumhe bakhsh dega aur Allah badey fazal wala hai. (Al-Anfal: 29)
Abu Huraira (Radhi Allahu Anhu) farmate hain:
Rasool Allah (ï·º) say poocha gaya: logon may sab say zyadah muazzaz kaun hai? Aap nay farmaya: Jo unn may sab say zyadah Allah say darney wala hai.

Taqwaa ikhtiyar karney kay liye zaroori hai ki insaan dunya ki rangeeniyon say (door rehne ki koshish karey) aur khush rang aur dil ko lubhane wali cheezon say apne aap ko bachaye.
Rasool Allah (ï·º) nay farmaya:
Beshak dunya shireen aur sar sabz hai, Allah Ta'ala iss may tumhe janasheen bananey wala hai. Pas woh dekhega ki tum kaise 'amal kartey ho. (Agar tum kamyaab hona chahtey ho to) dunya (kay dhoke) say bacho aur aurton (kay fitne may mubtala hone) say bacho kyun ki Bani Israil ka pehla fitna aurton kay baare may thaa.

Taqwaa ikhtiyar karney kay liye zaroori hai ki insaan hamesha hidayat kay raastey par chalta rahey aur apne aap ko haraam cheezon bacha kar rakhey. Taqwaa ka asal m'ayaar ye hai ki insaan shak wali cheezon ko bhee chor dey aur aisi cheezon ko ikhtiyar karey jin may zarrah barabar bhee shak na ho.
Jaisa ki Rasool Allah (ï·º) nay farmaya:
Aisi cheez chor do jo tum ko shak may daal dey aur usey ikhtiyar karo jo tumhe shak may na daaley.

Isi tarah Rasool Allah (ï·º) nay farmaya:
Yaqeenan halal wazeh (saaf / clear) hai aur haram bhee wazeh hai aur inn dono kay darmiyan kuch shuba (mashkook) (doubtful) ki cheeze hain jin ko aksar log nahi jantey, lihaza jo shakhs shuba ki cheezon say bach gaya uss nay apne deen (religion) aur apni izzat (honour) ko bacha liya aur jo shuba wali cheezon may par gaya woh haram may par jayega. Iss ki misaal aisi hai ki ek charwaha (shepherd) apne janwar aisi zameen kay qareeb charaye jo badshah kay liye khaas hai, bahot mumkin hai uss kay janwar uss mana kee huwi jagah may jaa parey aur charne lagey. Khabardar! har badshah ki ek khaas jagah hoti hai (jis may logon ka dakhila mana hota hai) aur Allah ki mana kardah jagah wo cheezey hain jinhe uss nay haram kar diya hai. Khabardar! jism may gosht ka ek tukda hai, agar woh sahih ho jaye to sara jism sahih ho jata hai aur agar wahi bigad jaye to sara jism bigad jata hai. (Ye baat achi tarah) jaan lo ki wo gosht ka tukda aadmi ka dil hai.

Allah Ta'ala say dua hai ki woh hamare dilon ko taqwaa kay noor say roshan kar dey. Ameen
